Hospice Director of Nursing , you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our hospice nursing staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery, regulatory compliance, and team development. This salaried, full-time position plays a key role in shaping our culture of excellence, compassion, and patient-centered care.
Schedule : Monday through Friday Employment Type : Full-Time, Salaried Location : Kansas City, MO
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision and leadership to the hospice nursing and clinical teams Oversee clinical practices, ensure adherence to hospice policies, and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and monitor patient care plans Support and mentor staff to promote professional growth and consistent care standards Serve as the primary clinical liaison with physicians, families, and referral partners Participate in QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) initiatives Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of Missouri Preferred : Minimum of
1 year of hospice experience Proven
leadership experience
in a healthcare setting (supervisory or managerial level) Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Deep understanding of hospice philosophy and the unique needs of end-of-life care Why Join Us?
