Position Overview The Vice President of Construction is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all construction operations. This executive will drive project execution, ensure operational excellence, and lead teams to deliver high-quality installations that meet client requirements and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement construction strategies that align with the company’s goals for growth and customer satisfaction. Project Management: Oversee multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality workmanship, and adherence to budget. Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and manage construction managers, project supervisors, and field personnel; foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and high performance. Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and delivering exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle. Quality & Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards for low voltage, communications, and security systems. Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Develop and manage construction budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and optimize procurement of materials and equipment. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project safety and profitability. Process Improvement: Evaluate and enhance construction processes, adopt new technologies, and promote best practices to improve efficiency and quality. Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership, sales, engineering, and service departments to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the low voltage industry. Proven track record managing large-scale low voltage systems projects. In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices for low voltage, cabling, and security installations. Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities. Experience with project management software and construction technologies. Preferred Skills Experience with commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects. Expertise in security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection) and communications infrastructure (structured cabling, wireless networks). Strong analytical and financial management skills.
