Job Summary :

The

Project Director role is vital in ensuring the success of remodeling projects from beginning to end. Overseeing the entire process, the PD ensures that projects consistently meet deadlines and stay within budgetary constraints. Their scope of duties covers a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to coordinating schedules, managing teams, communicating with clients, and maintaining quality standards.

The PD manages project costs starting from the Post Design walkthrough and is actively involved in estimating processes for larger-scale projects to familiarize themselves with the scope of work. PD’s are responsible for running 5-7 active projects at a time, while also managing upcoming projects that are in the completion of their design phase.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Project Coordination

- Organize, schedule, and coordinate projects, budgeting time effectively and coordinating subcontractors to meet deadlines.

·

Budget Management

- Prepare and submit budget estimates, communicating budget progress and cost updates to clients regularly. When variances occur on project costs PD is responsible for communicating and providing solutions/actions to ensure costs are captured on future projects.

·

Client Communication

- Act as the main point of contact for clients following Post Design Walkthrough. Ensuring clients are informed of project progress and address any concerns or changes orders promptly and effectively.

·

Leadership

- Lead cross-functional project teams by setting clear goals, assigning responsibilities, and fostering collaboration to ensure successful project delivery on time and within budget. Direct work and support team by providing guidance, training, and ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of their role and success measurements.

Team Communication & Management

- Communicates regularly with design team, subcontractors, Team Leads other Project Directors, and the SPD to maintain project clarity and team coordination. Manages day-to-day responsibilities of team members.

Motivation and Recognition

- Motivate team members, recognize contributions, and provide feedback for performance improvement.

·

Adherence to Company Procedures

- Manage projects and team in accordance with company standards and procedural guidelines. Ensure that all field team members are utilizing Buildertrend.

·

Problem-Solving

- Address challenges and unexpected issues that arise during projects, finding solutions to keep projects on track.

·

Safety Oversight

- Maintain and ensure adherence to safety standards and guidelines on job sites.

Required Skills/Abilities:

·

High school diploma.

·

One to three (1-3) years of experience in home remodeling and construction management.

·

Excellent interpersonal skills.

·

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to make decisions under pressure.

·

Clear verbal and written communication skills.

·

Ability to lead and manage teams effectively, providing clear direction and support while maintaining a positive and engaging work atmosphere with a good sense of humor.

·

Thorough understanding of scopes of work, contracts, plans, and specifications. Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook. Excellent organizational abilities to coordinate schedules, tasks, and resources efficiently.

·

Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.

·

Possess strong critical thinking skills to effectively address challenges and find solutions quickly. Adept at decision-making abilities, especially under pressure, and exhibit proficiency in multitasking.

Ensures assigned jobs are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with projected costs, minimizing setbacks and re-works. Manages material resources, including mileage efficiency and supply runs, optimizing resource utilization at KCBR.

Client Satisfaction

- Receives consistently high scores on client satisfaction surveys, demonstrating commitment to meeting client needs

Communication Effectiveness

- Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and sustained collaboration across all KCBR departments to ensure success on each project. Effectively communicates with clients, management, and team members, solving problems constructively and proactively. Responsible for daily reports with detailed notes to field team, keeping them informed of any schedule or material impacts and maintaining project schedules. Demonstrates a sense of urgency to keep projects on schedule.

Proactive Management

- Presents minimal surprises to managers and the design team regarding job status, displaying initiative and proactive problem-solving skills.

·

Team Productivity

- Acts as a true team leader, managing team members to ensure productivity and fostering a collaborative work environment. Addresses underperformance promptly and collaboratively with managers, while recognizing and rewarding those who uphold company core values. Manages the attendance counseling program and actively mentors and guides other team members.

Technology Proficiency



Consistent daily recording of job performance, team and client communication in Buildertrend. Competent use of other required technology including Outlook email and other team communication tools and apps.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to move around and inspect all areas of job sites, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.

Occasional lifting and transporting of materials.

·

Travel between job sites.

Additional Requirements:

·

Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

·

Ability to pass drug screening.
