Business Systems Architect
to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions in support of Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role combines strong business analysis skills with hands-on technical expertise in .NET Core, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems architecture. The ideal candidate will identify areas for improvement, design scalable solutions, and ensure that IT deliverables align with mission-critical goals. NOTE:
U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance requirements and the nature of the classified work involved. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements. Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and technical designs. Architect and develop .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, and .NET MAUI applications, with an emphasis on enterprise-grade systems. Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures (e.g., RabbitMQ). Lead solution development using Azure (WebApps, Functions, SQL, Key Vault, CI/CD, Docker) and AWS (IAM, S3, EC2, ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, SQS). Build and maintain front-end components using Angular, jQuery, and Bootstrap, ensuring seamless integration with back-end services. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, BitBucket, Git), containerization, and DevOps practices. Mentor junior engineers, lead technical design discussions, and support QA and UAT activities. Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials. Identify opportunities for process and system improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and user experience. Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in business systems analysis and software development. Strong hands-on expertise in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, REST APIs, and enterprise system development. Experience with Azure and AWS cloud services, including deployment, monitoring, and scaling. Proficiency with databases such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Redis, and ElasticSearch. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Must be willing to work on site in Norco, CA. Selected candidate for hire can work remote but they must be near a drivable distance to Corona, CA. Desired: Experience architecting and deploying microservices in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of message brokers such as RabbitMQ. Experience with mobile application development (Xamarin, .NET MAUI). Exposure to federal or DoD IT projects. Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, IIBA-CCBA, or cloud certifications (Azure/AWS).
