Base pay range
$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr The Senior Supply Chain Specialist manages the procurement process for Nalu’s product portfolio and ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of requisite products and services. This individual is an expert in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the company’s operational and financial goals. This is an in-office position, which requires candidate to be within a commutable distance to the Carlsbad, CA office. Responsibilities
Develops and implements procurement strategies for raw materials and assemblies required for Nalu’s medical devices Makes decisions that consider internal & external constraints and needs of other groups with the ability to communicate those strategies vertically and horizontally across the organization Identifies, evaluates, and selects suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance Negotiates contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal value Monitors supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company standards. Collaborates with internal stakeholders such as R&D, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs to align procurement and inventory activities with business needs Builds bridges across teams to improve product deliverables and elevate the technical standard of the Operations department Develops a deep understanding of product needs and recommend solutions for competing technical choices Manages inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of products Maintains accurate procurement records and generates reports for management review. Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the medical devices industry Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to deliver technically relevant communications to functional groups in an easy-to-understand format Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and break new ground within supply base to achieve cost and reliability improvements Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards for Class II medical devices Proficiency in MRP procurement software and lean Supply Chain principles (e.g. kanban, statistics-based supply planning) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern ERP systems, NetSuite experience a plus Available to travel up to 5-8% of the calendar year for business purposes
