Summary of Role :
This position will be responsible for supporting gross sales, operational planning, and all IBM processes for their respective Portfolio/Segments to influence strategic decision making and enable dynamic business management.
Role Responsibilities :
In conjunction with Marketing, HCI, and Finance teams, develops Plan for assigned business unit(s) via integration of bottoms-up and top-down planning assumptions
Provides direct oversight of the operational forecast, a critical signal to downstream supply chain partners
Comprehends, pressure-tests and synthesizes disparate inputs from various functional areas of the organization, including but not limited to media plans, national and customer-specific promotional plans, innovation, inventory management, packtype strategy, and category distribution strategy
As part of the Integrated Business Management (IBM) process, owns monthly Consensus building and performance tracking for assigned business unit(s); accountable for delivering and continuously improving Consensus accuracy at brand/packtype level
Comprehensively analyzes the business to understand implications to Plan and Consensus
Develops KPI's and/or scorecards to track and monitor in-year performance and status of pipeline projects
Works with relevant teams to isolate and appropriately size R&Os; grasps challenges and topline/bottom line impact associated with gap-filling activities
Maintains thorough and explicit record of key planning assumptions by building block and growth lever
Participates in organizational decision-making and planning processes
Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities :
Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities. Strong collaborative & influencing skills
Strong analytical acumen and providing diverse experiences (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Strategy, Consulting)
Extensive analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks and achieve aggressive deadlines.
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and filter into useful insights to drive business decisions. Experience with retail, point of sale, and inventory data. Ability to understand and explain mathematical concepts. Willingness to learn and search for creative solutions. Continuous improvement mindset. Working knowledge of supply chain management concepts and the IBM process
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
Education -
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
Experience -
At least 5 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Category Management, or Analytics
