Overview
Senior Manager Experiential Production, New York or Los Angeles. We’re seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative leader to guide the execution of custom events, tentpoles, editorial initiatives, and marketing partnerships. This role requires hands-on production expertise and strong cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful, integrated experiences that elevate our brands and client campaigns.
What You’ll Do Event Production, Logistics & Execution
Lead events end-to-end — from scoping, budgeting, and vendor management to on-site execution and post-event wrap.
Oversee venue selection, catering service, AV, design & fabrication, guest experience, and sponsor activations across a variety of event formats that vary in scale, style, and brand goals.
Manage all production logistics, including project timelines, P&L development, budget tracking and reconciliation, vendor management, and day-of execution.
Partner with marketing and design teams to shape guest list strategy, invitations, and overall attendance goals.
Development, Ideation & Scoping
Collaborate with Experiential leadership, Creative, Editorial, Sales, and Network Development to translate editorial concepts, brand priorities, and revenue opportunities into high-impact event concepts.
Support as needed on the creation of sales materials, sponsor packages, and go-to-market integrations for events and franchises.
Represent production in internal and client-facing meetings, ensuring ideas align with client expectations, budget and production feasibility.
Research, evaluate and source venues, vendors, and partners to support successful execution in various markets.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
Work closely with stakeholders across sales, editorial, and creative to deliver best-in-class programs.
Serve as the central liaison with internal teams and external partners to streamline communication, flag risks, and ensure flawless delivery.
Build and manage strong vendor, freelancer, and production partner relationships to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Participate in creative development sessions that bridge editorial and commercial objectives.
Conduct cultural and competitive research to inform event strategy, vendor selection and innovative approaches.
Post-Event Impact
Lead post-event debriefs, final budget reconciliation, and performance analysis to measure success and shape future improvements.
Additional Responsibilities
Take on additional projects as assigned, with flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the team and business.
Who You Are
3-5 years of proven experience producing large-scale and custom events.
Proficiency in budget management and vendor negotiations.
Strong communication skills and creative instincts, paired with rigorous attention to detail and operational discipline.
Comfort balancing editorial and commercial needs while working across departments.
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to stay organized and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Google Suite.
Familiarity with Vox Media’s brands and editorial voice.

Pay and Benefits This is a permanent, full-time position and is benefits-eligible. The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary will be based on skills and experience.
Pay Range $90,000 - $100,000 USD
