Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to lead our Bodily Injury Claims team. In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of BI adjusters handling both attorney-represented and non-represented claims. You will provide guidance on complex files, ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, and foster a high-performance culture focused on timely, fair, and efficient claim resolution.
You’ll play a key role in training, mentoring, and supporting adjusters while driving continuous improvement in claims handling practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong communicator and critical thinker with a background in non-standard auto insurance and BI claims.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of BI adjusters, ensuring accurate, fair, and timely handling of bodily injury claims.
Provide technical direction and file oversight, particularly on complex or litigated claims.
Monitor caseloads, performance metrics, and quality standards to ensure team effectiveness and compliance.
Assist in developing team training plans and lead coaching sessions to support adjuster development.
Partner with legal counsel and other departments to resolve high-exposure or disputed claims.
Conduct regular file audits and contribute to strategic planning and process improvement.
Manage escalated issues from internal or external stakeholders, including attorneys and policyholders.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies across all claims practices.
Participate in recruiting and onboarding efforts for new team members.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience handling BI claims and/or litigation within non-standard auto insurance.
Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role.
Active Texas Multi-Line Adjuster License required.
In-depth knowledge of claims practices, coverage analysis, medical evaluation, and settlement negotiations.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to effectively train and mentor adjusters at varying levels of experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
