Senior Project Manager – Capital Projects
Your Role Lead major capital projects (>$30M USD) from concept through implementation, potentially across multiple sites. Oversee the full project life cycle, including estimates, planning, initiation, execution, and deployment. Ensure alignment with strategic objectives while managing scope, resources, risks, and deliverables. Manage all aspects of projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives. Includes: project scope and changes, day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings, understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs, participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders, define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested goods and services, and monitor, track, and control workstreams to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
Responsibilities include:
Directing project teams and chairing project management meetings.
Managing projects simultaneously at multiple sites from start to finish.
Leading feasibility studies, vendor selection, proposals, and defining scope of work/specifications.
Monitoring project milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities; resolving issues as needed.
Applying advanced project management principles, tools, and best practices.
Leading process safety management activities, including risk assessments, HAZOPs, MOCs, PSSRs, LOPAs, and SIS development.
Providing regular status updates and reporting to leadership.
Contributing to the development of templates, policies, and tools to improve capital project execution.
Travel up to 50% required.
Your Skills
BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Chemical Engineering ).
15–20 years of project management experience with proven success in delivering large-scale capital projects.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Advanced technical and data analysis capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to learn new chemistries and processes.
