Data Engineer, AWS DC Central Operations
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you'll work with technologies and complex data environments, enhancing our existing data architecture, developing end-to-end data engineering solutions, and collaborating with business intelligence engineers and software engineers to translate data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain automated ETL pipelines using scripting languages such as Python, Spark, SQL, and AWS services like S3, Glue, Lambda, SNS, SQS, KMS. Implement and support reporting and analytics infrastructure for internal business customers. Develop and maintain data security and permissions solutions for enterprise-scale data warehouse and data lake implementations. Develop data objects for business analytics using data modeling techniques. Develop and optimize data warehouse and data lake tables using best practices. Required: 3+ years of data engineering experience. Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications
Preferred: Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions. Experience with non-relational databases/data stores.
