M-F (varied during clinic operations) Experience:

Previous management/nursing leadership experience preferred. Clinical experience in the area of Pre-Op/PACU is also preferred. This position is responsible for leading the department by overseeing daily operations, managing and developing staff, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to deliver patient care, utilizing the nursing process, and ensuring quality care for patients. Minimum Qualifications Education:

Bachelor of Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school required or a documented degree plan with a timeframe to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. For clinical manager positions in Magnet-designated hospitals or those pursuing Magnet designation, a Bachelor's of Nursing is required at the time of hire or promotion. Licenses/Certifications: Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing. Certification in Basic Life Support. Professional certification in the clinical area or management preferred. Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements. Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Three (3) or more years of experience in a clinical area of practice with at least one (1) year of supervisory or management experience. Clinical Manager II: An additional two (2) years, totaling three (3) years in a supervisory or management role. Principal Accountabilities Manage daily operations of a patient care department, ensuring adequate staffing, taking departmental calls, planning for continuity of care, serving in charge nurse role, and providing direct patient care as needed. Collaborate with physicians, management team members, business partners, and customers to address strategic initiatives and organizational goals. Engage in the continual evaluation of programs, process improvements, and client-centered outcomes. Address the diverse needs of each patient throughout the care continuum to optimize their experience according to established service standards. Ensure adequate scheduling and staffing; recruit, retain, and develop staff; provide effective performance feedback and manage staff performance reviews. Adhere to all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards. Ensure safety for patients, staff, and visitors; comply with all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and budgetary specifications. Promote professional growth and development by participating in mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff. Perform other duties as assigned.
