Job Title: Production Team Lead Location: Houston, TX Full-Time | Shifts: 12-Hour Shifts, 24/7 Operation
About Us Alumanate is a U.S.-based manufacturer of aluminum composite panels (ACPs) for the signage, architectural, and transportation industries. We are rapidly expanding, with a state-of-the-art facility in Houston, Texas, running 24 hours a day. We are looking for a hands-on Production Team Lead to oversee daily operations, support production operators, and ensure smooth, efficient, and safe output on the line.
Position Overview The Production Team Lead will be responsible for guiding a crew of production operators during their shift. This role is a working lead position—someone who can step in on the line when needed while also coordinating workflow, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of production operators during assigned shifts.
Train, mentor, and coach operators on proper machine operation, safety practices, and production processes.
Ensure production schedules are followed and daily targets are met.
Conduct quality checks to verify panels meet specifications (flatness, dimensions, surface finish, etc.).
Monitor waste and rework; report issues and drive corrective actions.
Maintain a safe and clean production area in line with 5S standards.
Communicate effectively with Production Supervisors, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Complete shift reports and escalate production issues promptly.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally plastics, extrusion, or sheet production.
Prior leadership or lead operator experience .
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot production issues.
Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
