Patient Care Coordinator Associate

Carver Street, Huntington, New York, 11743 Schedule : A full-time position with a 37.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, including one late night on Tuesday until 7:00 pm. The exact schedule will be determined upon hiring. Your Role & Responsibilities: Warmly greet patients and facilitate the check-in process by collecting demographic information.

Update or verify insurance details as needed.

Answer incoming calls professionally and promptly.

Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently.

Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.

Collect co-payments and manage outstanding balances.

Post payments in the practice management system and issue receipts.

Support various locations as required.

Conduct patient outreach for appointment reminders and follow-ups.

Ensure all necessary documentation is prepared ahead of patient visits.

Do your part to maintain a collaborative and smooth office environment.

Maintain patient confidentiality while demonstrating respect and kindness at all times.

Take on additional duties as assigned to further enhance team functionality.

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.

At least 1 year of experience in customer service or a healthcare-related role.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Willingness to work at various office locations as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting with skills in scheduling, insurance verification, and patient record management.

Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., EPIC).

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Key Skills: Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Capability to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
