Harpoon Beer Hall in Boston's Seaport is looking for an experienced and high-impact
General Manager
to lead the charge at our flagship location. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a multi-dimensional, guest-forward operation that includes full-service dining, brewery tours, private events, a retail store, and more-all under one roof.
As General Manager, you'll be the face and heartbeat of Harpoon Boston, responsible for driving performance, leading department heads, and creating a culture that energizes both the team and the guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership role that demands vision, accountability, and a passion for craft beer and community.
What You'll Do
Oversee all daily operations across FOH, BOH, events, retail, and tours to ensure smooth execution and memorable guest experiences
Lead and develop a team of managers, building strong leadership at every level and driving accountability across departments
Own the P&L-delivering on revenue, labor, and cost targets while maintaining service excellence
Lead from the floor during peak service, modeling hospitality standards and team culture
Champion operational tools and systems (Toast, Restaurant365, Sling, etc.) for scheduling, inventory, and reporting
Ensure the facility, service, and staff presentation meet the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and brand alignment
Collaborate with marketing and events to activate programming, drive traffic, and represent the brand in the community
Maintain structured internal communications and lead weekly manager meetings to align the team and share goals
Who You Are
A proven hospitality leader with 3+ years of general management experience in a fast-paced, food and beverage-driven setting
Experienced in full P&L ownership, labor scheduling, and cost control practices
Known for developing people, solving problems, and leading with clarity and integrity
Skilled at using systems like Toast, Restaurant365, and Sling
Highly organized, emotionally intelligent, and energized by guest-facing leadership
Passionate about craft beer and building a culture that connects people to product and place
Flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, and key event days as required
