Overview

Part time (20 hour) OB Hospitalist position in New Orleans. The Physician provides medical care and treatment to patients, and offers consultation and medical supervision to the clinical staff. Responsible for routine examinations, diagnoses and treatment of illnesses and injuries to promote patients' well-being and immunizations according to medical or school guidelines. Responsibilities

Provide quality patient care and respond to patient calls and messages; maintain patient and business records including daily patient encounters. Observe patients for signs of abuse/neglect and report in accordance with policy; recognize and respond to emergencies per organizational policies and procedures. Participate in a physician call schedule and offer patient meeting slots as determined by the schedule template. Assist with safety, environmental, infection control, quality improvement and other regulatory standards; implement precautions and maintain a clean clinic environment; report hazards to the clinic manager or designee. Medical Director duties (if applicable): ensure provider compliance, communicate concerns and initiatives to providers, complete provider assessments, and develop work and call schedules. Qualifications

Experience Qualifications: Completed residency training. Education Qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy. Licenses and Certifications: American Heart Association, Basic Life Support-HCP, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification; Medical Physician Licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Skills and Abilities: Medical skills; computer software skills; ICD-10 and CPT-4 knowledge. Work Details
