The Project Manager serves as the critical bridge between sales and successful project completion, orchestrating all aspects of commercial landscape construction from contract handoff through final installation. This role demands a strategic leader who can simultaneously manage budgets, coordinate crews and subcontractors, ensure safety compliance, and maintain exceptional client relationships. Operating with significant autonomy, the Project Manager makes daily decisions that directly impact project profitability, team safety, and client satisfaction while overseeing field employees across multiple active job sites. Success in this position requires a unique blend of technical landscape construction expertise, strong communication skills, problem-solving agility, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where weather, site conditions, and client needs constantly evolve. Key Responsibilities

Client Relations (20%):

Provide regular project updates, attend meetings with general contractors,respond to concerns, and resolve issues professionally Purchasing (15%):

Research and purchase materials, negotiate with vendors, and maintain accurate financial records Subcontractor Management (15%):

Schedule and coordinate subcontractors with company crews, monitor work quality and scope compliance through regular inspections, and build relationships with reliable specialized service providers Production & Scheduling (10%):

Plan labor needs, review contracts, monitor crew hours, and coordinate equipment/material deliveries Budget Control (10%):

Track costs against estimates, identify variances early, and implement corrective actions Safety Leadership (10%):

Verify compliance with safety standards,conduct training, complete pre-task plans,and ensure proper PPE use. Team Supervision (10%):

Direct daily work, conduct performance reviews, address discipline issues, and make hiring/termination decisions Project Management (5%):

Coordinate site logistics, conduct pre-construction meetings, document site conditions and progress,and solve on-site problems independently Other duties as assigned (5%) Required Qualifications

3-5 years landscape construction experience as Foreman or higher Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record Proficiency with computers and mobile devices 2+ years supervisory experience preferred Essential Skills

Technical:

Read/interpret landscape plans, understand grading/drainage/irrigation/hardscape installation, knowledge of materials and construction methods Management:

Budget tracking, vendor negotiation, scheduling, resource allocation, scope management, change order processing Leadership:

Clear communication with crews/clients/vendors, delegation, conflict resolution, subcontractor coordination Safety:

OSHA knowledge, safety training delivery, risk assessment, incident documentation Business:

Contract understanding, profit margin awareness, quality control, customer service orientation Preferred:

Bilingual (Spanish) Work Environment

Split between office and multiple field sites daily. Exposure to outdoor weather, loud equipment, and physical demands. Regular business hours with overtime as needed; weekend work when crews are active.
