General Manager

to oversee the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art clean hydrogen production and dispensing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial plant management, energy production, or industrial gas sector, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and sustainable operation of the facility. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all operational and commercial aspects of the clean hydrogen production and dispensing plant, including commercial partnerships, operations, quality control, safety, maintenance, and staffing. Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, operational targets, and safety protocols. Implement and enforce strict compliance with regulatory standards, environmental policies, and industry best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance safety measures. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure the facility operates at peak performance while minimizing environmental impact. Manage plant budgets, forecast expenditures, and ensure cost-effective operations. Develop and implement training programs for staff on plant operations, safety protocols, and hydrogen production technologies. Analyze plant performance data and use insights to recommend improvements or adjustments in operational procedures. Foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and innovation among all team members. Maintain effective communication with senior management to report on operational performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives. Represent Avina in external industry events, conferences, and community engagement activities as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 7 years of experience in plant operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within energy production, industrial operations, or clean technologies. In-depth knowledge of hydrogen production technologies, renewable energy systems, or similar industrial processes. Proven experience in managing a large-scale production facility, including overseeing operations, safety, and maintenance. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, environmental compliance, and safety standards in industrial operations. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team. Strong analytical skills and experience with performance optimization and process improvement. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and external stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hydrogen production, dispensing infrastructure, or other clean energy technologies. Knowledge of industry-specific software and plant management tools.
