Renewable Energy Industry Location: San Diego, CA,92129- Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) Compensation:
$85,000 – $95,000 DOE About the Company: A well-establishedindustryleader in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to delivering innovative clean energy solutions. Summary: The Accountant is responsible for ensuring transactions are properly researched, documented, and recorded in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS standards. This role supports the close process, works with external auditors, and helps maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Responsibilities: Manage and perform full-cycle accounting close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks
Prepare and review supporting schedules, workpapers, account reconciliations, and job cost reports
Conduct detailed reviews and research to ensure accuracy within materiality thresholds
Oversee quarterly IFRS reporting packages and annual US GAAP audits for assigned entities
Serve as a workflow and technical mentor to other accountants
Collaborate with various departments to ensure business transactions are accurately reflected in the ledger
Perform other duties as assigned
Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent) required
Active CPA, CMA, or CA license preferred
2–4 years of accounting experience in a mid-size or large corporate environment and/or public accounting
Experience with SAP and BI/BW preferred
Prior workflow supervision and audit experience preferred
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Proficiency with integrated accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Solid knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS
Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills
Self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive team contributor
Ability to complete assignments independently, with effective research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
