Sonesta Select ATL Airport - Director of Sales
The
Director of Sales
is responsible for leading all sales efforts to achieve and exceed revenue goals for the Sonesta Select ATL Airport hotel. This position requires a hands-on, proactive leader who thrives on building relationships, developing strategic sales plans, and driving performance in both group and transient business segments. The DOS plays a critical role as part of the hotel’s leadership team, working closely with the General Manager and Regional Sales Leadership to position the property competitively within the market. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals across all segments (corporate, group, SMERF, and leisure). Prospect and secure new business through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building. Maintain existing client relationships through regular communication, site visits, and exceptional customer service. Collaborate with operations and revenue teams to ensure effective group coordination, rate integrity, and strong guest satisfaction. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports and forecasts. Represent the hotel at local events, trade shows, and community functions to drive brand awareness and business opportunities. Lead and mentor any on-property sales support staff, ensuring alignment with Sonesta’s brand standards and company goals. Qualifications
3+ years of hotel sales experience required (prior Director of Sales or Sales Manager experience strongly preferred). Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and room night goals. Strong understanding of local market dynamics and competitive landscape. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Experience with hotel sales systems and Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with Delphi/FDC or similar CRM preferred. Ability to travel locally for client meetings and networking events as needed.
