Monday - Thursday, 8 am - 5 pm and Friday 8 am - 12 pm. (Flexibility on end time is needed if patients are still in the office.)/No evenings, weekends, or holidays! Specialty:
Pain Medicine Key Responsibilities: Assist patients by providing information, services, and assistance. Administer medications and injections. Perform venipuncture for lab draws. Conduct EKGs, Spirometry, and flu and strep tests. Maintain medical supplies inventory and ensure equipment is functioning. Verify patient information through interviews and record-keeping. Prepare patients for examinations by conducting preliminary physical tests. Support physicians by efficiently managing office procedures. Safeguard patient information and maintain confidentiality. Process referrals. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to regulations and standards. Maintain supply readiness through inventory checks and order placements. Ensure equipment functionality through maintenance and troubleshooting. Stay updated with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Uphold professional standards and facility policies. Enhance practice reputation by taking initiative on requests and new opportunities. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent adult education program. Medical Assistant diploma, technical certificate, or 3+ years of relevant experience. Active medical assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA). Preferred Qualifications: CPR certification. 3+ years of clinical experience in a Family Medicine setting. Experience as a Medical Assistant or EMT. Familiarity with electronic medical record software. Experience in medical back office tasks like vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, and medication administration. Experience in front office tasks like scheduling appointments and handling referrals. Pay is based on local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications.
