High school diploma or GED required. Certification:
CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)
or
CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution)
preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of
1 year of recent sterile processing experience
in an acute care or surgical setting preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
Thorough understanding of sterilization techniques, instrument processing, and infection control practices. Familiarity with autoclave operation and sterilization documentation systems. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently.
