Job Description
The
Assistant Project Manager - Renewables (Travel APM)
will:
Support the management of multiple renewable energy projects from initiation through commercial operation, including site mobilization, engineering oversight, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting. Assist in the development and execution of project work plans, defining staffing requirements, timelines, and resources to ensure alignment with company objectives and other projects. Oversee the preparation, evaluation, and recommendation of contracts, bids, and procurement packages, coordinating closely with Legal and Procurement teams. Work alongside Construction Managers to provide on-site support when needed, including contractor oversight, QA/QC, change management, and adherence to safety standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Permitting, EPC, Finance, and Operations, to ensure seamless project handoff and alignment with interconnection agreements, PPAs, and financing milestones. Facilitate and track project milestones and progress, prepare reports, and maintain compliance with project agreements, lender requirements, and company standards. Interact directly with Owners/IPP teams, participating in meetings, developing reports, and ensuring communication of project status and risks. The Successful Applicant
A successful
Assistant Project Manager - Renewables (Travel APM)
should have:
3+ years of experience in renewable energy project management, ideally on the Owner/IPP side; EPC experience considered if
managing multiple disciplines. Experience preparing and presenting reports to Owners/IPP teams and managing contractor performance. Ability to step in and support Construction Managers as needed while primarily supporting project controls, scheduling, and budget oversight. Proven ability to oversee
multi-discipline projects, including civil, electrical, mechanical, and commissioning activities. Strong understanding of project contracts, construction oversight, engineering practices, and high-voltage electrical concepts. Experience in
project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk mitigation. Capable of travelling to remote project sites and supporting extended field assignments. Ability to successfully coordinate across multiple
internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project scheduling software, and AutoCAD/GIS tools. What's on Offer
