Position Summary The Sr. Category Manager is responsible for leading spend analysis and strategic sourcing initiatives within their assigned category. This role develops and implements sourcing strategies to drive improvements in cost, quality, and availability, while partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver full-value solutions. You will manage supplier relationships, oversee performance reviews, and ensure continuous improvement.
Additionally, you will take administrative ownership of the
Coupa
platform—ensuring optimal functionality, providing training on contract and RFx modules, and driving system enhancements to support business needs.
Essential Job Functions
Manage a diverse spend portfolio across corporate services, including IT software/hardware, consulting, and travel.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and cost-efficiency goals.
Conduct RFX events in Coupa, prepare bid analyses, present recommendations, and execute awards.
Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key vendors.
Manage contracts in collaboration with legal, business leaders, and suppliers to drive results.
Oversee supplier initiatives for continuous improvement using data, feedback, and best practices.
Proactively identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Lead change management efforts for new sourcing programs and ensure ongoing performance.
Serve as a subject matter expert in Coupa—supporting processes, audits, and system management.
Train users, create/update guidance materials, and promote self-service adoption.
Monitor KPIs and implement strategies for program optimization.
Partner with Business Process Improvement and Digital/Data teams to enhance sourcing systems and resolve issues.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of software/SaaS contracts, consulting agreements, master purchase agreements, and T&Cs.
Proven analytical skills with the ability to drive business decisions through data.
Success building and influencing cross-functional relationships.
Ability to address underperformance, implement corrective action, and track results.
Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.

Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field required.
Master’s degree .
Experience / Minimum Requirements
7+ years of experience in Supply Chain and/or IT Support roles.
Category management experience in at least one of the following: software/hardware (direct or indirect), consulting, travel, materials procurement, requirements analysis, business process design, catalog management, or vendor/supplier management.
Background in procurement operations, sourcing systems management, IT, or consulting is a plus.
Coupa expertise (SME level) required.
Other Skills / Abilities
Proficiency with JDE and Coupa (or similar spend management platforms).
Strong financial acumen with data-driven decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships.
