Job Description
Key responsabilities for a Project Manager Include:
1. Preconstruction & Planning
Collaborate with school districts, architects, and engineers to define project scope and goals. Develop budgets, schedules, and phasing plans aligned with academic calendars and occupied campuses. 2. Budget & Cost Control
Create and manage project budgets, tracking costs, change orders, and payments. Coordinate with estimators and contractors to align costs with funding sources. 3. Schedule Management
Develop and maintain construction schedules. Coordinate time lines to avoid disruptions to school operations. 4. Stakeholder Coordination
Act as liaison between school staff, contractors, and the community. 5.
Construction Oversight
Monitor contractor performance, safety, and quality on-site. Conduct regular inspections and enforce compliance with plans and codes. Manage punch lists and ensure successful closeout and occupancy. 6. Risk & Safety Management
Enforce safety protocols, especially on active campuses. Identify and mitigate risks such as permitting issues or material delays. Ensure compliance with building codes, ADA, and life safety standards. 7. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records: RFIs, submittals, contracts, and progress reports. Provide regular updates to school boards and funding agencies. Ensure proper documentation for warranties and audits. 8. Project Closeout
Oversee final inspections, commissioning, and staff training. Deliver as-builts, O&M manuals, and warranty info. Support a smooth transition to occupancy and use. 10+ years of experience working on K-12 projects At least 8 years as a lead Project Manager working on K-12 projects Ability to provide references from clients and current or past employers Ability to travel within a 90 mile radius on Pontiac Manage the master budget invoicing all projects Managing project risk Leading and growing teams Preconstruction process What's on Offer

Base salary of $125K - $145K (Based on K-12 experience) Fully paid for health insurance Profit sharing Bonus (anywhere from $10K-$20K normally) $600 car allowance Gas card company phone company computer
