Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a
Labor Relations Manager
in
Rancho Cucamonga, CA
to join our team. The pay range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000 annually. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain detailed understanding of provisions of Metrolink’s collective bargaining agreements. Review required labor compliance documents generated by Herzog and Subcontractors. Enter payments to subcontractors monthly in the ECAT system. Answer general questions regarding California labor law, California contract law, and California prevailing wage rules and regulations. Assist with preparing change orders for subcontractors. Assist with expiration of insurance notifications and help with other departments as needed. Proactively keep senior management advised of all applicable developments and the appropriate response. Keep current with California DIR regulations, monitor changes in prevailing wage laws, and update payroll processes accordingly. Submit monthly reports to Metrolink and attend Metrolink-facilitated meetings on a quarterly basis. Analysis of certified payroll, prevailing wage and apprenticeship documents to ensure compliance with governing laws and Labor compliance programs. Perform special projects as defined by the General Manager. Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in labor Employee Relations, Human Resources, or related field preferred. Minimum 7-10 years of relevant work experience in dispute resolutions and collective bargaining and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements. Certified Payroll Processing Experience Experience in finance or similar field preferred. Knowledge of National Labor Relations Act and/or other similar labor laws and regulations. Ability to communicate orally, and in writing the meaning, terms, and consequences of collective bargaining agreement provisions, labor laws, and regulations that apply to those provisions. Strong organization, coordination, time management, and communication skills. Pre-Employment Requirements: Subject to pre-employment background check. Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen. Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this role. This is a non-exhaustive overview of the physical requirements of this job. Perform light work, occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force. Able to walk on uneven surfaces. Occasionally ascend/descend step ladders and/or stairs. Regularly sit and stand for an extended period of time. Regularly kneel, bend, and squat. Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position. Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position. Able to work in conditions with loud noise; work on/around heavy/moving machinery. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet).
