Overview : Our client, a dynamic company in the defense and space manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join their team on a contract basis. This role is designed to provide financial leadership. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with a solid background in corporate accounting and government contracting.
Responsibilities : Financial Oversight : Manage daily accounting operations, including reviewing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow. Month-End Close : Ensure timely completion of month-end close processes and accurate financial reporting to the CFO. Regulatory Compliance : Maintain familiarity with government contract regulations (FAR and DFARS) and ensure compliance. Team Interaction : Lead daily meetings and collaborate with the accounting team to address ongoing tasks and issues. Process Improvement : Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and reporting. System Usage : Utilize Deltek Costpoint for accounting tasks and SAP Concur for expense reporting. Qualifications : Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certification : Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. Experience :
Previous experience in a Corporate Controller or similar role. Experience with government contracting, particularly FAR and DFARS regulations. Background in the tech, construction, aerospace, or defense industries preferred. Department of Defense (DoD) experience is a plus.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and SAP Concur is advantageous. Hiring Timeline : Immediate start preferred.
