Join our team as a Lead Engineering Manager, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing all maintenance and repair activities related to mechanical and electrical systems within a property. Your mission is to ensure the longevity and reliability of all systems while supervising a skilled team. We prioritize flexibility and a proactive attitude, as responsibilities include the maintenance and operation of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as performing general building maintenance and inspections. You will respond to client requests, manage work orders, and procure necessary parts, while ensuring compliance with expense guidelines, company policies, and regulatory codes. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and implement all preventive maintenance and repair operations, scheduling emergency repairs according to priority. Provide technical support and training to team members in various engineering disciplines. Conduct equipment inspections and ensure proper maintenance in accordance with standards. Implement quality assurance for all departmental work. Lead facility programs related to safety, disaster management, and other operational committees. Develop policies to enhance facility operations and manage equipment life expectancy. Assist in budgeting for operating and extraordinary expenses. Communicate effectively with teams to foster a positive work environment. Enforce safety regulations and promote good housekeeping practices. Optimize building systems for efficiency and conserve energy. Engage in continuous self-improvement and stay updated on new equipment and regulations. Qualifications: MUST possess a New Jersey Black Seal license. Extensive experience in Plant Operations is required. Relevant licensing for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC must be held, along with a universal level refrigerant recovery license. Preferred certifications include BOMA accredited courses, High-rise Fire Safety Director, Haz-Mat Certification, Indoor Air Quality Certification, and LEED Certification. Must meet OSHA ACM awareness training requirements. A strong understanding of energy conservation principles and practices is crucial. Excellent communication, coaching, and employee relations skills are a must. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Experience with building automation systems is essential.
