Title : Construction Engineer III
Location : Rockford, Chicago, or Naperville, IL
Schedule : M-F 7a-3:30p w/ 30 min lunch break
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000 (based on experience, skills, and certifications)
Overtime : Paid as straight-time for hours exceeding 80 in a two-week pay period
Bonus : Minimum 2% of salary (based on experience, individual, and company performance)

What You'll Be Doing: Perform on-site observation, testing, and documentation of construction activities Coordinate with inspectors, contractors, and public agencies to ensure project quality and compliance Monitor progress schedules, shop drawings, and project milestones Maintain daily logs, meeting minutes, and construction documentation Review and verify contractor pay applications and completed work Assist design teams with detailed design tasks as workload requires Support general civil engineering and project management duties as assigned What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering from an accredited program (construction emphasis preferred) Professional Engineer (P.E.) license Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in construction engineering Experience with IDOT and/or Illinois Tollway projects Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., IDOT CMMS, ISTHA eBuilder) Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills Ability to travel within the assigned regional service area
