Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as General Production Workers, responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts. This role involves a week of training on industrial sewing machines, followed by mentorship on the production floor.

Responsibilities

Set up sewing machine with the correct thread.

Increase production count to the expected output level for each product within 13 weeks.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Operate sewing machine while sitting for extended periods.

Request assistance or call maintenance if issues arise with the sewing machine.

Ensure products meet quality standards.

Essential Skills

Attention to detail.

Experience or ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Industrial sewing experience.

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Experience in medical device manufacturing.

Work Environment

Our facility is a Contract Manufacturing Medical Device Company that has seen significant growth, employing 800 individuals at our St. Charles location. The production floor, composed of 75% industrial sewing machines, operates in a clean GMP environment where hairnets and beard nets (if applicable) are mandatory. Although not climate-controlled, the area is equipped with fans to mitigate heat during the summer months. Our diverse workforce speaks over five languages, and we support individuals who utilize translation technology to ensure success. The work schedule includes a standard first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and a second shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with voluntary extended hours and Saturday work available upon meeting certain production rates.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
