Plummer Youth Promise is a nationally recognized leader in child welfare practice, helping youth and families build permanent, lifelong connections. We’ve just opened a beautiful new oceanfront building in Salem, Massachusetts, designed to inspire and support both the young people we serve and the dedicated professionals who work alongside them.
We are seeking a
Clinical Director
to join our leadership team and oversee the clinical services in our Community Treatment Residence and Youth & Young Adult Group Residence. Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, and permanency-centered interventions. Oversee referrals, intakes, treatment planning, and documentation with fidelity to Plummer’s Intervention & Outcome (I&O) Model. Provide reflective clinical supervision and guidance, building a strong culture of learning and accountability. Ensure compliance with DCF/DMH standards and DEEC licensing, while driving performance quality improvement. Represent Plummer in system-level meetings and collaborate with external stakeholders. Contribute to the growth of innovative, restraint-free residential programs that prepare youth for permanency and adulthood. What We’re Looking For
Master’s degree with Independent Clinical Licensure (LICSW or LMHC). 5+ years of supervisory/management experience, preferably in child welfare or related fields. Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Strong skills in team-building, supervision, and trauma-informed care. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging in clinical practice and organizational culture. Location & Schedule
