We are a very fast-growing manufacturing organization seeking a
hands-on Accounting Manager
to join our leadership team in White Plains, NY. This is a high-impact role with significant growth potential, offering the opportunity to
build out and lead a team
as the company continues to scale. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a background in manufacturing operations, and ideally public accounting experience. You will oversee core accounting functions, manage the month-end close, and drive continuous improvement in processes and controls to support our rapid growth. Key Responsibilities
Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inventory, and payroll.
Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Partner with operations and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate inventory and cost accounting.
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Support and coordinate external audits and tax filings.
Manage and mentor accounting staff, with responsibility for building and expanding the team as the company grows.
Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred).
6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Manufacturing industry accounting experience highly preferred
(cost accounting, inventory management, COGS analysis).
Public accounting experience (Big 4 or mid-tier firm) is a strong plus.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
Proven ability to thrive in a
fast-paced, high-growth environment .
