Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager - 2nd shift, Project Kuiper
Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world. As a Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager at Project Kuiper, you will lead a team directly responsible for building, testing, qualifying and producing next generation spacecraft. You will utilize innovative solutions and technology to solve difficult manufacturing and engineering problems on a daily basis. Key job responsibilities include: Using knowledge and experience in understanding, collaborating, and trading complex inputs from multiple other disciplines to guide the team and arrive at a viable approach for an optical system. Driving manufacturing processes improvements by reading test results and implementing SPC. Interfacing with facilities personnel in site development and all utility requirements definition. AIT takt time & cost optimization planning Managing a team of lab test engineers across multiple night shifts. This role requires a thorough understanding of precision manufacturing processes and combines superb technical and analytical capabilities to optimize optic assembly procedures for production and meeting cross discipline requirements. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
in Engineering (Manufacturing/Optical/Electrical) or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
3+ years
of experience in Cleanroom operation and techniques, and
3+ years
of experience managing engineers.
5+ years
of experience in the production and testing of complex systems used in industrial, automotive, defense, space or medical applications. Preferred Qualifications
5+ years
of Engineering Manufacturing manager experience, and a
Master or Ph.D
