About the Position:

The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures on large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, identifying potential hazards, and proactively mitigating risks through training, inspections, incident investigations, and close collaboration with project teams. Worker safety and promoting a culture of safety excellence will be paramount.

Responsibilities:

· Developing, cultivating, and promoting a company-wide culture of safety

· Implementing policies and procedures that are in compliance with regulatory requirements

· Training and educating all team members and stakeholders in safety best practices

· Maintaining regulatory compliance through site inspections, audits, and assessments

· Investigating any safety-related incidents that may occur

Requirements:

5+ years of safety management experience in the heavy civil and/or heavy highway construction industry A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a closely related discipline, or commensurate experience Strong work ethic combined with exemplary leadership and communication skills In-depth knowledge of industry safety standards (DOT including Traffic Control, OSHA, etc.) The ability to effectively train and educate team members This position is based in Louisville, KY
