YMCA of Central Massachusetts is hiring: Lifeguard (Part-Time) in Westborough

Are you a strong swimmer? Do you have great skill and technique with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills? Do you enjoy being responsible and providing supervision and safety in a pool environment? If so, the YMCA of Central Massachusetts, Boroughs Family Branch, is looking for you to join our Aquatics Department!

Requirements:

• Lifeguard Certification typically required; however, we offer the course for a minimal fee as part of being hired. Candidates must successfully complete the lifeguarding course.
• Be at least 16 years old.
• Swim 50 yards, tread water using only the legs.
• Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds involving swimming 20 yards, surface diving to retrieve a 10-pound object at a depth of 7-10 feet, then returning to the surface and swimming back 20 yards on the back carrying the object.

Job Details:

• Type: Part-time
• Pay: $15.00/hour, increasing to $19.00/hour until 09/01/25
• Benefits include access to YMCA facilities, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
