Overview
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Child Health Study within the College of Health and Human Development has an opening for a part-time phlebotomist. This position includes work on-site with children 10-21 years old.
Responsibilities
- Collect and process blood and other biospecimens.
- Follow detailed research procedures and be flexible in handling unforeseen circumstances in the Center.
- Work with people from various backgrounds, follow confidentiality protocols, and create a comfortable and welcoming environment for participants.
Qualifications
- Certified/licensed phlebotomist with experience drawing blood from pediatric populations.
Work Schedule
- Part-time position: 2-10 hours per week.
- Training and work expected to begin in October 2025.
- Morning availability Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 9:30 required.
- Occasional Saturday availability desired.
Background Checks / Clearances
- PA State Police Criminal Background Check.
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form.
- Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
