Location: Solomon R Guggenheim Museum – 1071 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10128

Schedule: Part time. Mondays and Thursdays, 4 hours per day. Online applications accepted only.

Pay: Fixed rate $17.35 per hour. Floor care experience is a plus.

Overview

Performs light cleaning duties to maintain establishments, including hotels, restaurants and hospitals, in a clean and orderly manner.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors.
• Vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies.
• Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings.
• Cleans metal fixtures and fittings.
• Empties and cleans trash containers; disposes of trash in a sanitary manner.
• Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers; wipes down glass surfaces.
• Makes up beds and changes linens as required.
• Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
• Responds to guest queries and housekeeping requests, including spills or accidents.
• Contributes to team efforts and maintains professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Floor care experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
