Key Job Details - Mammography Tech Jobs in Charleston, SC Job Title: Mammography Technologist (Rad Tech) - Locum Tenens Location: Charleston, SC (ZIP 29425) - South Carolina healthcare jobs Setting: Outpatient Clinic / Mobile Mammography Unit Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Contract) Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 - End: 1/5/2026) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Occasional Saturdays required) Hours per Week: 40 Shift: 8-hour days Caseload: 30-50 mammograms per day Floating: May float to sister facilities and breast clinic locations as needed Estimated Weekly Salary: $1630-$1750 Mammography Technologist Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist Current ARRT (M) certification required Active South Carolina state license (SCRQSA (M)) prior to start Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Proficiency with Hologic Dimension mammography equipment (required) Experience with Epic charting system (preferred) Ability to perform both screening and diagnostic mammograms Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and float between healthcare locations Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities Perform high-quality mammography exams following American College of Radiology (ACR) and MQSA standards Ensure accurate anatomical positioning and radiographic technique for optimal imaging Maintain quality control records and comply with DHEC and MQSA inspection standards Schedule and coordinate regular equipment maintenance for mobile mammography units Complete daily workflows and documentation in Epic electronic health records Collaborate with healthcare team members, leadership, and other departments to uphold health and safety compliance Engage with patients to reduce barriers to care and promote health literacy in women's health Demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and critical thinking in a fast-paced clinical environment Experience the best of Charleston, SC, while growing your career in mammography and radiologic technology.
