Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Rad Tech with at least 3 years of cardiovascular invasive experience and expertise in cardiac, vascular, and EP procedures. Responsibilities Work in a cardiovascular invasive department specializing in cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic (EP) diagnostic and interventional procedures Day shifts, 4x10-hour schedule per week Requires setup and operation of electrical/imaging equipment and physiologic monitoring devices Care for adult cardiac and vascular patient population Requires extensive knowledge of moderate sedation administration and hemodynamic monitoring EPIC charting experience is required Level 1 trauma experience is required No floating, on-call, or weekend requirements specified Assist cardiologists with invasive coronary, vascular, and EP diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Prepare and maintain a sterile field, and appropriately drape and prep patients for procedures Set up and ensure proper function of procedural supplies and equipment for each case Operate, check, and troubleshoot a variety of imaging and monitoring equipment for safety and accuracy Interpret hemodynamic and EKG data, and communicate findings to the medical team Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Provide patient education, support, and advocacy before, during, and after procedures Only one assignment within the health system allowed at a time; duplicate submissions are rejected Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted RTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract Assignment is capped at one year before a mandatory 30-60 day break Requirements Minimum of 3 years applicable experience in cardiac/vascular/EP diagnostic and interventional procedures Associate's degree in a related field or certificate of completion from a Radiology Program Active IEMA (IL state) license in Radiology Technology required if applicable ARRT registration in Radiology required BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required Advanced knowledge of EKG interpretation, arrhythmia recognition, and radiation safety Proficiency in moderate sedation administration and policy protocol Experience with EPIC EMR required Experience in a Level 1 trauma environment required Must be able to organize, prioritize, and communicate effectively in a multicultural team Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-591119.
