The Stryker Johnston Foundation (SJF) is a private family foundation foundedby Ronda Stryker and Bill Johnston and based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Fornearly 30 years, SJF has partnered with organizations and groups that work to

strengthen and build thriving, equitable communities.SJF invests in and partners with organizations and groups working to endintergenerational poverty in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. They follow arelationship-centered philanthropy model that is driven by values, centersrelationships, is aware of power dynamics, and prioritizes equity, trust, andongoing partnerships.SJF partners with organizations and groups to change the systems andstructures that create intergenerational poverty, particularly among Blackpeople, people of color, and other communities that have been left out or leftbehind. SJF is using its power as a foundation to support, champion, and raise upthe work of people who are making real change in the Kalamazoocommunity. The Foundation is led by a Board of Directors consisting of Bill, Ronda, and theirthree children. The Foundation staff are a dedicated and passionate group ofseven, including the Executive Director, all based in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

POSITION OVERVIEW The Network Partner Healthcare will work to advance health equity and ensure all community members have access to quality, compassionate care. This role is rooted in the belief that health is a human right and that community voice is essential in shaping healthcare systems. The Network Partner - Healthcare will collaborate with health providers, nonprofits, and community leaders to strengthen networks that address social drivers of health to improve health outcomes. This positionreports to the Grant Program and Partnerships Director. RESPONSIBILITIES Cultivate authentic networks of trust by connecting healthcare providers, nonprofits, community leaders, and residents, ensuring that diverse voices are not only included but valued as equal partners in shaping healthier futures. Identify and confront systemic barriers to health with humility and urgency, working alongside community partners to co-create solutions that honor dignity, cultural wisdom, and the lived experiences of those most impacted. Strengthen the capacity and sustainability of health-focused organizations by listening deeply, walking with them as partners, and aligning resources in ways that amplify their leadership and expand their reach. Steward a healthcare grant portfolio grounded in equity-centered practices, recognizing philanthropy as a responsibility to redistribute resources and power in ways that reduce poverty and improve health outcomes. Stay rooted in both evidence and community, continually learning from research, data, and promising practices while also elevating peoples stories, ensuring that decision-making reflects both science and lived reality. Represent the foundation with humility and accountability, contributing to local and national collaborations, conferences, and initiatives in ways that uplift Kalamazoo County voices and share lessons across the broader health equity movement. Bring forward health sector insights that help refine the foundations strategy, ensuring alignment between grantmaking, systems change, and the collective responsibility to eliminate poverty. Model a culture of reflection and growth by embracing continuous learning, inviting feedback, and contributing to a collaborative team environment that embodies equity, justice, and shared responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS Professional Experience Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree preferred in Public Health, Social Work, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field. 5+ years of professional experience in healthcare, public health, or health equity-focused organizations. Lived experience that grounds apassion and commitment to the work a plus. Demonstrated expertise in advancing health equity, access to care, or community wellness strategies. Strong cross-sector facilitation and partnership skills. Commitment to dignity, equity, and community-centered approaches.

NATURE AND REQUIREMENTS OF ROLE

The Network Partner - Healthcare position is based out of our Kalamazoo office. Currently, SJF staff work on a hybrid schedule. Availability and Working Hours

This is a full-time position with standard working hours of 8:00 am-5:00 pm ET, Monday-Friday. Travel

On occasion, you may be asked to travel domestically / internationally for site visits, conferences and/or foundation gatherings and events. Nature of Work

This role carries a fluctuating workload due to various deadlines and cyclicalprocesses. It entails extensive keyboard and computer monitor use and exposure to sensitive and confidential information. Base Salary Range: $110,000-$145,000; actual starting salary within the range will be commensurate with a candidates breadth and depth of experience, education, certifications, special skills, and accomplishments. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
