AI Security Architect - Consultancy

A high-profile organisation is seeking an experienced AI Security Architect for an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension. This hybrid role is based in Reading, requiring 2 days per week on-site, and offers a competitive rate of up to £625 per day (Inside IR35). This position focuses on embedding security into AI/ML systems, pipelines, and infrastructure from the ground up. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement security strategies, standards, and policies for AI/ML systems and data pipelines. Define and maintain secure enterprise architecture across AI/ML, CI/CD, and model workflows. Conduct security risk assessments and threat modelling for AI/ML initiatives. Support testing and evaluation of AI models, including fairness, bias, adversarial testing, and safety. Implement secure access controls, encryption, and authentication for sensitive AI/ML assets. Provide expert guidance during AI/ML system development and deployment phases. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations including EU AI Act, GDPR, ISO 27001 and others. Skills & Requirements: Proven background as a Security Architect with strong AI/ML security experience. Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks and their unique security implications. Familiarity with ML/LLM tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, and scikit-learn. Knowledge of adversarial attacks, prompt injection, and data poisoning threats. Experience using threat modelling tools and security assessment techniques for AI systems. Strong understanding of compliance requirements (EU AI Act, GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.).
