Day-to-day:
Our client is seeking a Safety Coordinator to assist the Division Safety Manager and other safety coordinators to ensure Southland Industries meets all safety requirements
You will be in the field and on site at a mission critical facility in Sterling, VA to help manage and coordinate all division safety activities
Tours and inspects small or large, complex job sites to ensure compliance with company, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
Maintains all site required documentation related to safety issues, including accident reports, inspection reports and training logs
Documents information for the investigation of accidents and injuries and submits data to regulatory agencies as required and consults with manager on decisions that significantly impact the company
Provides emergency response to employees as needed. Participates in and documents information for the investigation of accidents and injuries and submits data to regulatory agencies as required.
Required Skills: 2-3 years’ experience in a Safety Construction Environment Minimum of OSHA 30 Required CPR and First Aid Certifications Proficient in health and safety management systems; OSHA CFR 1926 standards or the state construction safety regulations Must successfully be able to pass BC Check + DT
