We are looking for an experienced
Project Controls Specialist IV (Cost Analyst)
to join our team in
Los Angeles, CA . This role is critical in maintaining the financial integrity of large-scale construction projects by analyzing, forecasting, and managing costs.
The Role You will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy of project budgets, financial forecasts, and reports. Your work will support decision-making by project managers and senior leadership, ensuring cost control policies are followed and financial goals are met.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and validate project budgets and financial forecasts Participate in monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews Conduct cost variance and trend analysis Assess financial impacts during risk workshops Collaborate with schedulers on performance evaluations Analyze staffing plans and resource allocation Ensure accuracy in cost coding and budget allocations Manage Estimate to Complete (ETC) tracking and reporting Prepare detailed reports using e-Builder, Proliance, DELTEK, and other tools Reconcile budgets, expenditures, and actuals Support cost and status reporting for project teams Travel to offsite project locations as needed

The Person 7–10 years of recent project controls experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field (or equivalent experience) Proficient in Excel and financial modeling Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Able to explain financial data to non-financial audiences Experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite Preferred but not required: Advanced knowledge of e-Builder, Proliance, DELTEK Power BI or Tableau experience Familiarity with data warehousing solutions Understanding of project management methodologies
