Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a Buyer to join a growing manufacturing client in Wilson, NC. This role plays a key part in the company’s procurement operations, overseeing both direct and indirect factory spend. The position will initially focus heavily on capital expenditure (CapEx) projects during the plant’s setup phase, then transition into managing ongoing indirect and direct material sourcing once production begins. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and global procurement teams to ensure supply chain efficiency and cost optimization.
Responsibilities: Manage and oversee indirect spend (materials, packaging, and services) with an initial focus on CapEx projects. Support and drive the execution of regional and global procurement strategies related to factory operations. Collaborate with procurement teams and internal stakeholders to understand operational needs and provide strategic sourcing solutions. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring consistent quality, delivery, and cost performance. Identify and manage supply chain risks, including supplier vulnerabilities and market fluctuations, and develop mitigation plans. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and suppliers to resolve service issues and prevent recurrence. Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across procurement activities. Serve as the on-site procurement lead, ensuring alignment with company goals, compliance standards, and operational excellence. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 5+ years of procurement experience, with a focus on direct materials. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management abilities. Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with ownership and accountability. Familiarity with procurement legal and compliance requirements.
