Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $60.00/hr

The CFO will play a key leadership role in managing the organization’s financial strategy and operations. This includes budgeting, cash flow management, financial forecasting, and grant management. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and passionate about using their financial expertise to support meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the Executive Director and program leads
• Manage cash flow to ensure operational sustainability
• Develop financial forecasts and long-term financial models
• Oversee financial reporting and present financial updates to the Board of Directors
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and grant reporting requirements
• Monitor and manage grant budgets, reimbursement tracking, and funder financial reports
• Support audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
• Provide strategic guidance to help drive mission-aligned growth and impact
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader, preferably in the nonprofit sector
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, grant management, and fund accounting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex financial information clearly
• CPA or MBA preferred, but not required
  
  

The Part Time CFO role is fully onsite in Akron, OH with a pay of $50 - $60 depending on experience.
