What you will do:

Drive roadmapping and architecture discussions Produce high-quality, production-ready, readable, maintainable code Lead Merge's most impactful projects from initial inception to production Unblock and support your team of peers including engineers, designers, product managers, and business operators The ideal candidate will have:

7 - 10+ years of full-time software engineering experience Experience with frameworks (Django, Rails, Spring, etc.) Extensive knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres preferred) Example projects you might work on:

Scaling Core Systems:

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in our data syncing engine, lead large-scale migrations to more efficient technologies and storage solutions, and drive initiatives to increase system throughput Product Innovation:

Design flexible syncing paradigms that support advanced customization across model normalization, scheduling, data filtering, and API rate limit handling New Revenue Streams:

Partner with Product to ideate, prototype, and validate entirely new product lines or feature categories that unlock growth opportunities Compensation

The cash compensation range for this role is $205,000 - $235,000 Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and certifications. In addition to cash compensation, all full time employees receive an equity compensation package Merge on the Rise:
