Quality Technician - Grand Prairie, Texas
Payrate: $23.65
Day Shift: 5:00AM-1:30PM

Quality Technician
you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!

Primary Responsibilities
The
Quality Technician/
Inspector
will inspect material and conduct routine audits on material storage to ensure compliance with the project specifications, governing codes, and /or manufacturers' recommendations. The Quality Technician/ Inspector will document inspection activities on the correct forms, checklists, and/or media following approved PPG Standard Work Instructions. The Receiving Inspector's responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
Visually inspect materials, parts and equipment for damage and general workmanship. Compare part numbers, drawing numbers, specifications, and revision levels on materials, parts and equipment being received. Inspect raw/loose material, finished parts, and fittings work instructions and applicable documentation. Identify accepted items to be inventoried. Perform reviews and acceptance of First Article Inspection (FAI) submittals per AS9102 requirements. Liaison and collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations personnel on part inspection issues or material concerns. Validate shelf-life process on consumables and other required shelf-life products prior to use Identify nonconforming items and segregate them from accepted items. Collects and records results of inspections by part number and enters data on inspection forms, logs or databases. Notify supervisors or other personnel of any part issues. Follow established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods. Compare the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment, and products to technical specifications to identify defects.
