Located on the Torrey Pines Mesa near I-5 and Genesee Avenue in La Jolla, Scripps Green Hospital has served the greater San Diego community since 1977. We provide some of the region’s best care, including several nationally ranked specialty programs. Scripps Green Hospital is attached to Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines. Together we offer dozens of medical and surgical services, including cancer care, orthopedic surgery and organ transplantation. This is a benefited, full time position working Monday-Friday generally from 8am-4:30pm. Located at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla (Torrey Pines area). Travel to other sites on an as-needed basis. No weekends, evenings or holidays.

The Ideal Candidate & What You'll Do: Experienced and comfortable in assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, shots, and staple removals. Eager to grow their skills as a Medical Assistant and provide exceptional patient care. Function in a high volume clinic that sees 45-60 patients per day, supporting 8 Providers. Primary responsibilities include assisting with procedures, rooming patients, checking vital signs, and providing customer service to our patients over the phone for call backs and instructions. #LI-EE1 Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman Required Certification/Registration: BLS required in clinical setting for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: One year of experience as a MA in an outpatient setting preferred Experience in assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, and staple removals At Scripps Health, you will experience the pride, support and respect of an organization that has been repeatedly recognized as one of the nations Top 100 Places to Work. Position Pay Range: $24.91-$31.45/hour
