Overview Malone Workforce Solutions is currently hiring an experienced Warehouse Associate for a facility in Ladson, SC. In this hands-on role, you will manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor. If you're safety-conscious and have solid warehouse experience, this is the job for you. Warehouse Associate Highlights: Location : Ladson, SC Schedule : 8-hour shifts; overtime may vary. Shift: Varies, 6am, 7am and 8am start times, Monday-Friday
Pay : $16.50/hour Environment : Warehouse/industrial setting Warehouse Associate Duties:
Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs. Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets. Assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber. Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment. Load and unload cargo. Sort cargo before loading and unloading. Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers. Carry needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks, and return them after use. Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected. Adjust or replace equipment parts such as rollers, belts, plugs, and caps, using hand tools. Stack cargo in locations such as using pallets or cargo boards. Connect electrical equipment to power sources so that it can be tested before use. Bundle and band material using banding machines. Check out, or requisition all equipment needed for production. Sweep out cargo containers and storage areas. Requirements & Qualifications
Prior warehouse experience highly preferred Must be willing to work in an non-climate controlled, open warehouse Valid driver's license a plus Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks Must be comfortable walking for an extended period Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness Must be able to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods
