SUMMARY:
The CTE (Career and Technical Education) Dual Credit Coordinator is the position primarily responsible for coordinating CTE Dual Credit work on behalf of the college and consortium. The primary job duty of the CTE Dual Credit Coordinator is to facilitate the continued development and maintenance of the CTE Dual Credit program both on and off campus in coordination with the Whatcom County Dual Credit Consortium members, including the area high schools and Whatcom Community College.
This is the right fit for someone who is able to work closely with teachers, CTE directors, and counselors at partner high schools to build dual credit pathways and enrollment to college for students in collaboration with college faculty and staff.
SALARY:
Monthly salary for this position is $4,406.
This is an exempt, non-represented .75 (30 hours per week), annual continuous position. The CTE Dual Credit Coordinator is funded through the Whatcom County Dual Credit Consortium and ESSB-5178 Washington State Legislative Proviso - CTE Dual Credit. The position is expected to continue after June 30 th , 2026, but is contingent on continued funding each fiscal year. The proviso will end on or before June 30, 2027, unless continued by the state legislature.

This is an exempt professional, non-represented grant funded position reporting to the Dean of Professional Technical Education. The position is shared with Whatcom Community College but housed at Bellingham Technical College.

The primary job duty of the CTE Dual Credit Coordinator is to facilitate the continued development and maintenance of the CTE Dual Credit program and its articulations (both on and off campus) in coordination with the Whatcom County Dual Credit Consortium members, including the area high schools and Whatcom Community College. This position works closely with teachers, CTE directors, and counselors at partner high schools to build dual credit pathways and enrollment to college for students in collaboration with college faculty and staff. Additionally, the CTE Dual Credit Coordinator will participate with the Educational Service District (ESD) and partner colleges in fulfillment of the proviso workplan.
The CTE Dual Credit Coordinator builds relationships with high schools across Whatcom County to increase dual credit enrollment by assessing the needs of high school dual credit students and school districts, coordinating with academic departments and college personnel to provide articulations in alignment with those needs. Additional duties include implementing marketing and promotional strategies and providing admission and registration support services. The position also ensures that the CTE Dual Credit Program is administered in accordance with state guidelines.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support county and regional high schools and their staff in the facilitation and creation of dual credit articulation agreements in partnerships with Bellingham Technical College and Whatcom Community College.
Work closely with college faculty and other college staff, such as Deans and Registrars, to facilitate articulations in pathways that ensure students access to earned credits.
Outreach to local high schools, including teachers and students, around Dual Credit pathways and credit.
Create, update and manage articulations for the CTE Dual Credit Consortium.
Manage and update the Statewide Enrollment and Reporting System (SERS) for the Dual Credit Consortium.
Facilitate meetings and events for dual credit stakeholders including high school teachers, college faculty, and high school CTE directors.
Support the work of the dual credit proviso and workplan in collaboration with other stakeholders.
Develop and update materials and documents for the Whatcom County CTE Dual Credit Consortium, such as the program website.
Prepare reports and data analysis as needed.
Continue the migration of CTE Dual Credit articulations to digital processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Associate’s degree AND at least three years of related experience in an educational setting (K-12 or higher education); OR at least five years of experience working with dual credit programs.
Demonstrated experience in leading collaborative processes or projects.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience working in both K-12 and college educational settings.
Experience in Dual Credit programs.
Physical Working Environment: Requires ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; walking, stooping, bending, twisting and lifting moderate weight unassisted and working at a computer.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
Compensation and Work Schedule: The salary is per month is $4,406.
This is 75% of the full monthly salary $5,875.
Position receives leave prorated based on 8 hours per month of sick leave, 16 hours per month of vacation leave, 24 hours of personal leave and 12 paid state/college holidays per calendar year. Benefits also include a Washington State insurance package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-term disability; a retirement benefits package, with choice between the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Plan 3 or the State Board Retirement Plan (SBRP) 401A plan TIAA. Additional optional benefits include ability to participate in a medical Flexible Spending plan, Limited Purpose Flexible Spending plan, or Health Savings Account; Dependent Care Assistance; discounts for automobile and homeowner insurance, tuition waiver; two voluntary investment (not matched) programs - TIAA (403b) or the State Deferred Compensation (457) plan. Employee Assistance Program (EAP); up to 21 days of military leave; up to 5 days of paid bereavement leave, paid civil/jury duty, ability to participate in a shared leave program; and up to 2 days of unpaid holiday for reasons of faith or conscience.
Work schedule will vary but generally occurs Monday through Friday during the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. workday as agreed upon with supervisor. Schedule may vary including working more than 30 hours as needed, as well as occasional evening work. Some remote work may be approved, but the CTE Dual Credit Coordinator Position is not a remote role.
