Locums - Primary Care Physician

Location: Tohatchi, New Mexico (40 miles north of Gallup) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch) Setting: Outpatient only Navajo Area Indian Health Service Position Overview:
* Type: Locum tenens * Population: All ages * Patient Load: 8-15 per day * EMR: RPMS (Resource & Patient Management System) * Required Procedures: Suturing, management of non-displaced fractures * Support Staff:
* 2 RNs * 4 Receptionists/Schedulers * 4 Nursing Assistants (doubling as MAs)
Requirements:
* Board Status: BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine * License: Any state license accepted (IHS facility) * Certifications:
* BLS, ACLS, PALS * TB clearance (PPD or chest X-ray if prior positive) * 2 MMR vaccinations or immunity (not required if born before 1957) * Hepatitis B series * Seasonal influenza vaccine * COVID vaccination
* Practice History: No lapse in clinical practice in the 6 months prior to start Clinic Details:
* Located in the southeastern portion of the Navajo Nation * Newer facility (opened in 1994) * Serves a population of approx. 8,000 * Built-in Admin Time: Wednesday mornings (clinic opens at noon)
Compensation & Support:
* Malpractice: A-rated coverage provided * Payment: Weekly direct deposit * Support: 24/7 recruiter access, full credentialing and onboarding * Travel/Lodging: Not provided (all-inclusive rate)
